Rental rates are for rent only. Damages are extra—ride at your own risk! When you rent an ATV, it is your reponsibility to return it in the same condition in which you received it. Damages to an ATV can be very expensive.

ATV Operators Must:

  • Stay off paved roads (unless it is marked at an ATV route).
  • Display a vaild ATV Registration.
  • Wear a helmet if under 18 years old.
  • Have an ATV safety certificate or be with an adult if the operator is between the ages of 12 and 16.
  • Have headlight and taillight on when near a road.
  • Have muffler with a spark arrester.
  • Report accidents to DNR.

ATV Operators Must Not:

  • Ride on or near paved roads unless it's marked as an ATV route.
  • Ride on any property without owner's permission. If in doubt, stay off.
  • Ride on ATV trails or county forest trails during April or May.
  • Operate an ATV while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Exceed 10 MPH when within 150 feet of a dwelling.
  • Harass or chase wildlife.

Who may operate an all-terrain vehicle in Wisconsin:

  • No one under the age of 12 may operate on a roadway under any circumstances.
  • No one under 16 may rent or lease an ATV.
  • Children under 12 may operate a small ATV on a trail designated by the Department if the child is wearing headgear and accompanied by a parent (small ATV means an ATV that has 4 wheels and has an engine certified by the manufacturer at not more than 90cc's).
  • Children ages 12-15 may operate if using headgear and either accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age or in possession of an ATV safety course completion certificate by the Department or another state or Canadian Province.
  • Anyone 18 years of age or older in possession of an ATV safety course completion certificate.

Do not try to drive up to docks since watercraft does not have neutral gear. Scratches and nicks cost renter $50. Larger damage costs more. Crashing into the water does not scratch the watercraft. Crashing into a dock will scratch the watercraft and cost you $50.

PWC Operators Must:

  • Beach PWC on soft shoreline.
  • Slow down when driving within 200 feet of shore.
  • Shut off engine when driving in less than 3 feet of water.
  • Have a boating safety certificate or be with an adult if the operator is between the ages of 12 and 16.

PWC Operators Must Not:

  • Try to drive up to dock, trailer or another boat.
  • Ride without life jacket.
  • Ride after sunset.
  • Operate a PWC while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Harass or chase wildlife.
